The Code on Social Security 2020

The Code on Social Security, 2020 is a code to amend and consolidate the laws relating to social security with the goal to extend social security to all employees and workers either in the organised or unorganised or any other sectors.

The Code on Wages 2020

The Code on Wages, 2019 ("Code") received assent of the president on September 28, 2020. The Code focuses on simplifying the existing labour laws dealing with payment of wages, overtime, bonus, minimum wages etc.

The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code 2020

The Occupational Safety, Health And Working Conditions Code, 2020 is a code to consolidate and amend the laws regulating the Occupational safety and health and working conditions of the persons employed in an establishment. The Act replaces 13 old central labour laws.

The Industrial Relations Code 2020

Industrial Relations Code, 2020 consolidates and amends the laws relating to Trade Unions, conditions of employment in industrial establishment or undertaking, investigation and settlement of industrial disputes. The code combines and simplifies 3 Central Labour Laws.

Building And Other Construction Workers Act (BOCW) 1996

Apprentice Act 1961

Contract Labour Registration Act (CLRA) 1970

The act applies to all those firms which have twenty or more workmen, presently employed or previously employed on any day of the past twelve months. It also applies to every contractor who employs or employed twenty or more workers on any day of the past twelve months. It does not apply to firms where casual or irregular work is performed.

Factories Act 1948

The Factories Act, 1948, as amended by the Factories Act, 1987, served to assist in formulating national policies in India with respect to occupational safety and health in factories and docks in India. It deals with various problems concerning safety, health, efficiency and well-being of the persons at work places.

Graduity Act 1972

The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 is an Indian law that makes certain industries pay a one-time gratuity to retired employees. The law applies to railways, ports, factories, oilfields, plantations, mines and shops.

Minimum Wages Act 1948

The Minimum Wages Act 1948 is an Act of Parliament concerning Indian labour law that sets the minimum wages that must be paid to skilled and unskilled labours.

Shops and Commercial Establishments

Shop and Commercial Establishment Act applies to all shops, restaurants, eating houses, hotels, theatres, places of public entertainment and amusement and other commercial establishments.

Employees’ Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952

The Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act provides for compulsory contributory fund for the future of an employee after his/her retirement or for his/her dependents in case of the employee's early death.

Employees’ State Insurance Act 1948

An Act to provide for certain benefits to employees in case of sickness, maternity and ' employment injury ' and to make provision for certain other matters in relation thereto.

Equal Remuneration Act & Rules 1976

An Act to provide for the payment of equal remuneration to men and women workers and for the prevention of discrimination, on the ground of sex, against women in the matter of employment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Industrial Disputes Act 1947

The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 extended to the whole of India and regulated Indian labour law so far as that concerns trade unions as well as Individual workman employed in any Industry within the territory of Indian mainland.

The Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act 1979

The Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act, 1979 was an Act of the Parliament of India enacted to regulate the condition of service of inter-state labourers in Indian labour law. The Act's purpose was to protect workers whose services are requisitioned outside their native states in India.

The Maternity Benefit Act 1961

An Act to regulate the employment of women in certain establishment for certain period before and after child-birth and to provide for maternity benefit and certain other benefits.

The Payment of Bonus Act 1965

The Act Applies to all Factories and every other establishments, which employs twenty or more workmen. The Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 provides for a minimum bonus of 8.33 percent of wages.

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013

An Act to provide protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Trade Unions Act 1926

An Act to provide for the registration of Trade Unions and in certain respects to define the law relating to registered Trade Unions.

The Labour Laws (Exemption from Furnishing Returns and Maintaining Register by Certain Establishments) Act 1988

An Act to provide for the exemption of employers in relation to establishments employing a small number of persons from furnishing returns and maintaining registers under certain labour laws.
