Benefits of Recruitment Agencies for Companies

You might think that using a recruitment agency would be costly, but it is more efficient than finding candidates yourself. A recruitment agency has access to the whole market, so they’re much more likely to know of someone matching your description. Let’s look at the advantages a recruitment agency can bring to you.

The most effective way to attract and retain top job-seekers is to use an expert recruitment agency.

Recruitment agencies have developed in-depth knowledge of the local labour market and the specific needs of a company; they will be able to find the best person for your position, regardless of whether you are looking externally or internally.

Recruitment agencies also will take care of all aspects of recruiting, including:

  • Posting ads
  • Screening Candidates
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Assist in additional applications if necessary
  • Providing support throughout the hiring process

And no matter where your new hire is coming from, recruiters will be able to help you with relocation logistics, such as providing customised housing options. In addition, when determining compensation packages for candidates, recruiters will be able to advise you on local salary ranges and benefits.

Recruitment agencies have access to a huge database of job seekers, with a wide range of experience and skills. Their database is updated daily in order to keep contact details of all active job-seekers up-to-date. You can benefit from this continuously updated and growing resource.

Recruiting services are offered by recruitment agencies all year round. The main attraction of these services is that they save hiring managers time and effort; instead of doing everything themselves.

Recruitment agencies work alongside companies in order to find suitable candidates for them.

Bihar Government Announces Accelerated Hiring Drive to Address Healthcare Staff Shortages

The Bihar government has announced an accelerated recruitment initiative aimed at addressing long-standing shortages of medical staff across the state’s public healthcare system. The large-scale hiring effort is intended to strengthen services at primary health centres, district hospitals and other government-run facilities that have faced staffing gaps for several years.

From January 2026, the state health department plans to recruit more than 11,000 nurses, along with 663 general doctors, 808 dentists, 498 nursing tutors and 121 AYUSH doctors. Officials said the initiative is designed to improve the availability and quality of healthcare services across urban and rural areas.

A key focus of the drive is increasing nursing staff, as many hospitals are currently operating with limited numbers. The addition of nurses is expected to ease workloads, improve patient care and support smoother functioning in areas such as general wards and intensive care units. The recruitment of nursing tutors is also aimed at strengthening training capacity in nursing institutions and improving long-term workforce quality.

The inclusion of AYUSH doctors reflects the state’s emphasis on traditional systems of medicine, which continue to play a significant role in rural healthcare delivery. By increasing the number of practitioners, the government aims to improve access to primary care in underserved communities.

Officials noted that prolonged vacancies in the health department have contributed to uneven service delivery and increased pressure on existing staff. The current recruitment drive seeks to ensure the consistent availability of doctors, dentists and trained nurses across all levels of the public health network.

The hiring initiative represents one of Bihar’s largest efforts to reinforce its healthcare workforce. By filling critical roles, the government aims to improve efficiency, enhance treatment outcomes and strengthen the stability of the state’s public healthcare system.

SBI Plans to Hire 16,000 Employees, Add Up to 300 Branches by FY26

State Bank of India (SBI) has outlined an expansion plan to strengthen its presence across the country, improve service capacity and support financial inclusion initiatives. As part of this strategy, the country’s largest lender plans to recruit around 16,000 employees and open between 200 and 300 new branches by the end of the 2025–26 financial year.

The hiring initiative comes amid continued focus on job creation within the financial services sector. Recruitment is expected across operations, customer service, digital banking support and frontline branch roles. SBI is likely to onboard both fresh graduates and experienced professionals to meet growing customer needs and support branch-level activities, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas.

The proposed branch expansion reflects a renewed focus on physical banking infrastructure alongside digital services. According to the plan, new branches are expected to be set up primarily in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, emerging markets and regions with relatively low banking penetration.

SBI has reiterated that its growth approach is based on a hybrid service model, combining digital platforms with an expanded physical network. Employees hired under the initiative will be trained to handle traditional banking operations as well as assist customers adopting digital channels.

The expansion aligns with broader efforts in the banking sector to improve access to credit, savings and other essential financial services. By increasing its workforce and branch network, SBI aims to enhance financial inclusion, support small businesses and strengthen banking access in underserved regions.

Radisson Hotel Group Plans to Double Portfolio and Triple Workforce in India by 2030

Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has announced an ambitious expansion plan for India, aiming to double its hotel portfolio and triple its workforce over the next five years. The Belgium-headquartered hospitality group plans to expand its presence from over 200 hotels currently to 250–260 by 2026, with a goal of reaching 500 hotels across India by 2030.

India continues to be one of Radisson’s most promising markets, prompting the company to also increase its workforce from the current 17,000 employees to nearly 50,000 by 2030. The move reflects RHG’s long-term commitment to India’s fast-growing hospitality and tourism sector.

At present, Radisson operates about 130 hotels in the country, with over 70 more under construction. By the end of the decade, the company expects 250–300 hotels to be operational, while another 200 properties will be in various stages of development.

According to Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, the upcoming phase of expansion will be driven by rising demand for quality accommodation in emerging and smaller cities across India.

Radisson’s next growth phase will focus on tier-II to tier-IV cities, as well as airport and transit hotels, catering to the increasing volume of domestic travellers. The company is also exploring opportunities in the branded residences segment — a niche model that it plans to develop over the next five years.

Younes added that favourable visa reforms and enhanced air connectivity could play a pivotal role in attracting more international tourists to India, further strengthening the country’s tourism infrastructure and supporting Radisson’s long-term growth strategy.

Microsoft to Expand Workforce Despite Earlier Layoffs, Says CEO Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, has confirmed that the company plans to expand its workforce, even after implementing significant job cuts earlier this year. Speaking on the BG2 Podcast, Nadella said Microsoft’s headcount will continue to grow in line with revenue, but in a more efficient, AI-driven manner.

Nadella explained that future hiring will be shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), allowing the company to scale its operations with “more leverage” than before. As of the fiscal year ending June 2025, Microsoft’s global workforce stood at approximately 2,28,000 employees. However, in July 2025, the company laid off about 9,000 employees—roughly four per cent of its global staff—as part of a broader restructuring linked to AI integration and operational optimisation.

The Microsoft chief noted that AI is transforming how employees work, plan, and make decisions, comparing the shift to earlier workplace revolutions brought about by tools such as email and Excel. “Today’s planning and execution processes start with AI,” Nadella said, adding that the technology is reshaping workflows and enabling new ways for teams to collaborate and innovate.

He also highlighted that Microsoft’s internal culture is evolving with this transformation. Teams are being encouraged to take greater ownership of projects, minimise handoffs, and use AI-powered tools to enhance productivity. The goal, Nadella said, is not only to improve efficiency but also to empower employees to “dream bigger” and deliver stronger outcomes faster.

While AI adoption has raised concerns about potential job losses across industries, Nadella emphasised that Microsoft views AI as an enabler rather than a threat. The company’s approach aligns with studies suggesting that AI will augment human capabilities, boosting productivity rather than replacing workers.

Amazon to Hire 2.5 Lakh Employees Across the US Ahead of Holiday Season

Seattle, United States — October 2025:
Amazon has announced plans to hire 250,000 new employees across the United States in preparation for the upcoming holiday shopping season. The hiring spree will include full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles across the company’s fulfillment centers and transportation network, with new job postings expected to appear weekly from October through December.

According to Amazon, seasonal positions remain among the most popular roles, often filling up within minutes of being posted. These jobs attract a wide range of candidates — from those seeking temporary income during the holidays to individuals hoping to transition into long-term career opportunities. The company noted that many of its current full-time leaders began as seasonal associates.

Currently, regular full-time and part-time employees at Amazon earn an average wage of $23 per hour with benefits, while seasonal hires earn an average of more than $19 per hour. This year, Amazon is also investing over $1 billion to increase wages and reduce healthcare costs for its fulfillment and transportation employees. When benefits are included, the average total compensation exceeds $30 per hour.

Amazon continues to emphasize employee development through several internal programmes. One of the most popular is Career Choice, which pre-pays tuition for employees pursuing college degrees or professional certifications. On average, employees with three years of service have received an 18 percent pay increase over time.

The company said that the large-scale hiring initiative highlights both its expanding operations and its commitment to creating long-term career paths. The new recruits will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations and on-time deliveries during the high-demand holiday season.
